The Fittest Member of the Team, with Zack Shurtleff

Zack Shurtleff is a familiar face on the curling circuit. After a successful junior curling career he moved up to Men's competitive curling and is playing on the Ontario Men's Tour. A multi-sport athlete, Zack has also had a successful junior men's rugby career.

Many Slam athletes know Zack as coach at Trillium Curling Camp, finding his example and love of fitness contagious. A graduate of Humber College, Zack is now assistant coach of the Humber Men's varsity curling team and works full time as a registered massage therapist at Total Health Link in Burlington, Ontario.

This ROCKTalk looks at the biomechanics of curling and the demands the sport places on our bodies, offering practical tips on how to analyze slide and sweep position, adapt to changes in your body and use your precious workout time wisely.

This ROCKTalk is free players and coaches registered in the 2018 U18 Phoenix Slam. $20 for all others.
