"Being Coachable", with

Earle Morris

Friday Nov 11 6:30PM

Are you “coachable”? Many think so, but some struggle to accept coaching. This ROCKTalk offers practical tips on handling criticism, keeping an open mind and accepting feedback.

As one of Canada's most successful curling coaches, Earle Morris shares the secrets to coachability and explains why, before a competitive curler can start on the road to winning, they first need to understand the benefits of having a coachable mentality.

We are honoured to have Earle Morris with us for this ROCKTalk.  Earle coached two Canadian junior championship teams (his son's in 1998 and Rachel Homan's in 2010). He is the former coach of Team Jennifer Jones (2012). Earle coached Team Homan to a national championship, a bronze medal at the worlds, a repeat national title and world silver medal in 2014.  This past season, Earle was a coach of the men's Team Canada rink skipped by Pat Simmons for the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier and other competitions.  Earle was inducted into the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame on March 9, 2016.

This ROCKTalk is free for registered U18 Pegasus Slam teams.  Cost is $40 for Non-Pegasus Slam competitors/individuals to attend.
