Bill Duck

Bill is the Curling Manager and Head Ice Technician at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club and was Head Ice Technician for The Travelers Curling Club Championship from inception in 2009 as The Dominion through 2015. He also operates Duck Curling Services, a family business servicing curling with associations with Jet Ice and Canada Curling Stone. Bill is recognized as one of the leading consultants on installing the Jet Ice “Full House”, one piece house graphics. Bill has made a number of appearances at Ontario Championships as a player, most recently at the 2017 Seniors,with provincial wins in the 2006 Intermediates and 2008 Silver Tankard.

End your season by learning how to read...ice, that is. As curlers, we depend on one of the most unpredictable and fickle surfaces to play our game. But ice is so changeable it can win or lose you the game. Learn how to use all sorts of ice conditions to your advantage by "reading ice".

Teams will get a refresher on how curling ice is made, factors that affect speed and curl, differences between club and arena ice, how to "read ice" including how to watch how its prepared to see how it reacts and typical changes in ice throughout games (5th end changes) etc.                         

Free for Titan Slam team of 4 plus coach, $20 all others
