How big is the Sapphire Slam? Just ask 2018 Canadian U18 Women’s Champion Bella Croisier – I think she’s saying its REALLY BIG!
The Guelph Curling Club plays host for the U18 Sapphire Slam, another terrific early season U18 event. Guelph is a big club with 8 sheets of ice, brand new rocks in 2018, a fully staffed kitchen and a terrific curling atmosphere. This event runs in conjunction with the U21+ Sapphire Slam making it one big junior curling weekend. The U18 Sapphire Slam has room for 12 Women’s and 12 Men’s teams.
This event in the past has drawn teams from across Northern & Southern Ontario and Quebec and we anticipate this to continue this year. If you’re looking for lots of games, ice time, and team time make time for the Sapphire on your season schedule.
