Time flies — and just like that, curling season is right around the corner! We’re kicking off our 11th season with a high-energy double-header weekend, and the first U20 event of the year is ready to hit the ice. The U20 Phoenix Slam takes place September 4 – 6, 2026 at the KW Granite Club, running alongside the U18 Phoenix Slam. It’s a massive opening weekend and the perfect way to jumpstart the season!
This early-season event is all about getting back on the ice, building momentum, and testing your game in a competitive, supportive environment. With a minimum field of 8 teams, the format includes a 4-game round robin and Championship Round playoffs on Sunday. We’re excited to continue with Championship and Consolation Finals at every U20 Slam this year, ensuring that every team has something meaningful to play for deep into the weekend.
All U20 events will follow our trusted JSS competition protocol: 7-minute pre-game practice, 2- LSDs for hammer, full coach interaction privileges, and complete compliance with Curling Ontario’s TTRS Points system.
