Team Registrations

The Guelph Curling Club plays host for the U21+ Sapphire Slam, another terrific early season U21+ event. Guelph is a big club with 8 sheets of ice, brand new rocks in 2018, a fully staffed kitchen and a terrific curling atmosphere. This event runs in conjunction with the U18 Sapphire Slam making it one big junior curling weekend. The U21+ Sapphire Slam has room for 12 Women’s and 12 Men’s teams.

Last year the Sapphire had participation from across Southern Ontario, the United States high performance squads, touring teams from China and the Women’s and Men’s Varsity teams from the University of Guelph. If you’re looking great competition, lots of games, ice time, and team time make time for the Sapphire on your season schedule.

Format with Full Draw: Pools of 6, Round Robin Games against each team within pool, Guarantee of 5 games. This event is a Tier 2 event for JTRS leaderboard points assuming a full field..

Championship Round Qualification: Top 8 advance based on Record & Shootout

The Guelph Curling Club features 8 curling sheets and large lounge facilities that make it easy to host large and small scale events for participants as young as 7 years of age. Our facilities are open year round for lounge rentals and open from October to mid-April for curling.
