The U20 Royal Slam moves to the iconic Niagara Falls Curling Club, setting the stage for one of the most energizing early-season competitions on the Junior Slam Series calendar. As our second U20 event of the year, the Royal is a golden opportunity for teams to sharpen their edge, reconnect on the ice, and compete for prestige in a venue as powerful as the Falls themselves.
Designed with development and high-level play in mind, the event format adapts to the number of entries. A field of 8 teams or more per gender will feature a minimum 4-game round robin, followed by a Championship Round on Sunday. All teams are guaranteed at least 4 games, and both Championship and Consolation Finals will be featured to ensure meaningful matchups for every team. The event is fully sanctioned by Curling Ontario’s Trillium Team Ranking System (TTRS), making it a prime stop for teams chasing points and progress.
As with all U20 Slams, this event will follow the official JSS competition protocol, including 7-minute pre-game practices, two LSDs for hammer, and full coach interaction throughout. Whether you’re building momentum or gunning for the podium, the Royal Slam delivers a top-tier stage to compete and grow.
