Welcome to another exciting season of the Junior Slam Series!

Junior Slam Season Schedule

Our Season 7 schedule is now available. We look forward again to another vibrant season in Ontario and will potentially have a few more events added in early 2023 in new markets.  We will keep you posted as those details firm up.

We are super excited to expand our event schedule in Saskatchewan this season. 6 new events have been added in Saskatchewan in the U15, U21 and U21 MD formats.

Check out our Season 7 schedule and keep checking back for updates as we grow.

U15 Slams for the newest teams

At the U15 slams, we know the athletes want to play.. and play against their peers! The new U15 format will guarantee each team four games with additional coach interaction throughout the game so they can learn while they play. As well as giving the athletes a great format to play and learn, we want to support coaches and parents so we have put together two tool kits – one for parents and one for coaches.

U18 Slams

U18 Slams are our most developed events and number the largest in our series. Its our sweet spot and we do it well. The events see deep fields of competition and garner the participation of teams from across Canada as well as drawing International teams. Teams are usually guaranteed four games, pools are balanced and our draws are well timed to maximize the athlete experience over the weekend.

U21+ Slams

What can we say about our U21 events? They are fantastic! Strong fields of teams from across Canada and Internationally. Our U21 events have historically run in 5 provinces; Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan. As we return on season 7 we look forward to getting back to many of those markets.  Provincial and National Champions and those teams that aspire to be make up our competitive fields. What a tremendous training ground!

U25 Slams

Our new U25 age category opens many opportunities to teams with players up to a combined total age of 100 as of June 30 and may include single-gender varsity curling teams. The expanded U25 age limit provides a mutually beneficial experience, allowing young adult players who have newly ‘aged out’ of juniors the affordability and high-performance competition of a Slam and giving our younger athletes the chance to play “up” to a higher skill level.

Mixed Doubles Slams

Our mixed doubles slam are a little different from our regular events. Arranged as a series of Pre-Qualifiers, teams earns points and qualification spots towards an invitation to our NJCT mixed doubles qualifier. The winner of that qualifier earns the right to represent the Junior Slam Series as Team Canada 1 or 2 at the NJCT U21 Mixed Doubles Championship  in Stockholm, Sweden. The reward is an experience of a lifetime.

Thank you for participating in the Junior Slam Series !
