The Sapphire Slam is back for Season 8. This event comes to Dundas Valley Golf & Country Club, home of the 2024 Ontario Junior Curling Championships. The event has room for 10 Men’s teams and 10 Women’s teams and will be a great event for teams wanting to get some exposure to the Provincial Facility & Ice. This is the final of JSS’s 3 U20 events in Season 8. This event is eligible for TTRS points.
This late season event is all about getting a feel for the Dundas Valley ice and rocks while competing in some quality games. This year’s format will see 10 teams set up into 2 pools of 5 teams each. This will give each team 4 round robin games against teams in their pools and after the round robin completes, Sunday’s Championship Round will see cross over games leading to the event final. A Consolation Round will also see crossover games leading to an event final. All in, a guarantee of 5 games.
