The Junior Slam Series is pleased to announce the Connor Ramsay Memorial Bursary presented by Team Glenn Howard. In honour of Connor Ramsay and with the generous assistance from Team Glenn Howard, the Junior Slam Series is awarding an annual monetary bursary to two deserving curling athletes.
Connor, in his brief time with us, demonstrated all of the best qualities of a curling athlete. He was a positive impact on all those he played with and against and showed an unparalleled love of the game. He honoured all of the best qualities of the sport of curling and this award is given in an effort to recognize Connor’s impact as a positive influence in youth curling. Connor passed away tragically in the summer of 2018 as he was preparing to enter his first year of university.
The bursary will be awarded annually to two athletes one (1) female and one (1) male athlete) who demonstrate the values that Connor so clearly displayed. These include:
- Sportsmanship – both on and off the ice
- Community Involvement
- Striving for excellence both in academic and athletic pursuits
- Demonstrating a love of the sport
- Personal integrity, respect for self, competition, organizers and officials
The bursary will award $1000 per athlete.

Applications will be accepted until November 23, 2018. Recipients will be announced January 14, 2019.
