City View Curling Club in Ottawa, Ontario is the host for the first edition of the U18 Capital Slam. City View boasts 4 terrific sheets of curling ice in a brand new facility opened in January of 2016. We are thrilled to be in Ottawa early in the season to give U18 curlers some terrific early competition and team time for early development. This event should draw on regional teams from the Ottawa area and western Quebec.

This event is designed for 10 U18 Women’s and 10 U18 Men’s teams. Assuming a full field, this event will qualify as a Tier 3 JTRS event with the Women’s and Men’s teams divided into balanced pools of 5, each team playing a round robin game against each team within their pool on Friday and Saturday. This will guarantee teams a minimum of four games.

At the conclusion of the round robin the top 6 teams by record then skill based challenge (shootout) will advance to Sunday’s Championship Round.

If you are looking for an early event to get some good competition, skill development, and team building time then the Capital is ideal.
