After a strong debut in 2024, the U18 Nautilus Slam is back and making a splash once again at the West Northumberland Curling Club in Cobourg, Ontario — a premier arena-style facility that offers an elite environment for high-level junior competition. As the fifth and final TTRS-eligible U18 event of the 2025 Junior Slam Series season, this event is set to close out the Slam calendar with intensity, excitement, and top-tier talent.
The Nautilus Slam will welcome up to 10 women’s teams and 10 men’s teams, and is the perfect finale for teams looking to sharpen their competitive edge before major qualifiers and championships. If the field size reaches 8 or more teams, the format will include a minimum 4-game round robin, culminating in an exciting Championship Round on Sunday. All teams are guaranteed at least 4 games, with Championship and Consolation Finals implemented to ensure a full weekend of meaningful play.
Like all Junior Slam Series events, the Nautilus will run under our signature competitive protocol: 7-minute pre-game practice, two LSDs to determine hammer, and full coach interaction privileges. The event is also fully compliant with Curling Ontario’s Trillium Team Ranking System (TTRS) — giving teams a valuable chance to climb the provincial leaderboard before the season’s end.
