The Orion Slam returns as one of the marquee early-season events in the Junior Slam Series calendar — and this year, it’s shining bright in a brand-new location: Port Perry Curling Club! As we launch our 10th anniversary season, this event sets the tone for a year of elevated competition, development, and unforgettable moments on the ice.
The U18 Orion Slam is designed for teams looking to reconnect, refocus, and ramp up their season with real competition. With space for up to 16 men’s teams, it’s the perfect opportunity for teams from across Ontario and beyond to log quality games, sharpen team dynamics, and gain valuable experience in a competitive yet supportive environment.
The format will include a 4-game round robin and a Championship Round playoffs on Sunday. This season, all U18 Slams will feature both Championship and Consolation Finals, so teams stay motivated and engaged throughout the weekend.
The event will run under full Junior Slam Series competition protocols: 7-minute pre-game practice, 2 – LSDs for hammer, full coach interaction privileges, and full Curling Ontario TTRS Points compliance.
