We thought we’d kick off 2019 in style. Consider this a U21 Mixed Double header. Two events, Two provinces, one amazing outcome.
The Junior Slam Series has created terrific curling experience for our first two Mixed Doubles events. These events will see 20 teams play down with the winner being rewarded with a trip to Sundyberg, Sweden – April 26-28, 2019 to represent the Slam Series and participate in the Nordic Junior Curling Tour Mixed Doubles Championship. Our Slam Champion teams will get the chance to get on a plane, fly to Sweden and compete against teams from Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and Scotland.
Our friends in the Nordic Junior Curling Tour have made this opportunity exclusively available to the Junior Slam Series and we want to make this an incredible experience for our representatives by covering the majority share of the costs for the 2 qualifying teams.
This format is unique as the final prize will be the only prize awarded for the event. It’s an all or nothing where the event champions will have their NJCT event entry fee covered, money provided to assist with air fare, hotel and travel costs and a travel apparel kit provided by the Slam Series.
Full details on the travel, accommodation, and apparel will be communicated as it is finalized between the NJCT and JSS.
